  • SASSAS presented its fifth free public concert at the Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook with new works by experimental guitarist Bobb Bruno and trumpeter Dan Clucas, a performance by Simone Forti.
  • Dan Clucas, joined by Carlos Alvidrez, Brian Christopherson, Jeremy Keller, Eric Sbar, Andy Sykora, and Kris Tiner performed roaming improvisations across the hillside.
  • Guitarist, multi-instrumentalist and producer Bobb Bruno, widely known as half of the alternative pop duo Best Coast, followed at the open air pavilion.
  • Renowned choreographer Simone Forti concluded the afternoon with Huddle (1961) as interpreted by volunteer performers from the MOCA Teen Program.

  • SASSAS presented internationally renowned cellist Charles Curtis performing the Los Angeles premiere of Valence (2016), by composer Tashi Wada, along with works by Bach, Dallapiccola, Ganassi, and Machaut.
